About the Book

The Return to the Garden of Eden

The Return to the Garden of Eden: A Memoir of Healing, Wholeness & Spiritual Liberation is a powerful and deeply personal journey of spiritual awakening, ancestral healing, and liberation.

Written for those carrying the weight of emotional wounds, generational trauma, and spiritual exile, this memoir speaks especially to Black women who have long been disconnected from their wholeness, divine identity, and inner peace. More than a story of survival, this book is a story of return a return to truth, healing, and the sacred self that was never meant to remain broken.

Through honest testimony and spiritual reflection, the memoir explores the inherited pain of shame, colonization, emotional fragmentation, and silence passed through generations. Structured in three movements Genesis, Exodus, and Revelation the book mirrors a sacred pilgrimage. It begins by uncovering childhood wounds and inherited trauma, journeys through grief, struggle, survival, and transformation, and ultimately leads toward spiritual awakening, restoration, and the reclaiming of voice, identity, and sacred purpose. Blending personal experience with Womanist theology and spiritual symbolism, the book reframes healing not as something to earn, but as a return to what has always belonged within.

At its heart, The Return to the Garden of Eden reminds readers that the Garden is not a distant place, but a state of wholeness waiting to be remembered. It is an invitation for anyone healing from trauma, navigating spiritual awakening, breaking cycles of shame, or seeking a deeper connection with God beyond fear and judgment. This memoir calls readers back to themselves, reminding them that the exile is over, the gate is open, and healing, peace, and restoration have always been within reach.
